Today is my in-laws 56th anniversary! They are so wonderful.
They have lived their lives full of love and service to others. I love them and feel so grateful to have them in my life. Happy Anniversary!

Do you ever come across a great thought or quote,
and can’t stand the idea of not keeping it?
I have.
When ever I receive a nice little thought or come across a great quote, I have to keep them. The problem is, then I end up with stacks of these and I can never find them when I want to read them or use them.
I came up with an idea. It’s not perfect, but at least I know where they are and I can look to find what I’m looking for. I call it my “Thought and Quote” book. I know clever, right?

What I did, was take a journal type book, and glued the thoughts and quotes right to the sheets in the book. Easy! Now they’re all together, and easy to find.
Love, Kelsey

“When couples marry and make commitments to each other, they greatly increase the chances of economic well-being. When children are born in wedlock and have both a mom and a dad, their opportunities and their likelihood of occupational success skyrocket. And when families work and play together, neighborhoods and communities flourish, economies improve, and less government and fewer costly ‘safety nets’ are required.”
-M. Russell Ballard

A large office supply chain? A piece of metal that holds papers together? No, neither of those are what I’m thinking about. What I’m thinking about is a basic dietary item. In some families, basic dietary items are: flour, sugar, rice, or corn. Those are staples at our house too, but they’re not the only things. I’ve decided that there are a few other staples at our house like: milk, cheese, tortilla’s, Pace picante sauce, peanut butter, tortilla chips, fruit snacks. I’m sorry to say we don’t eat as much fruit and vegetables as we should, but we do eat fruit and vegetables. My goal is to make fruits and vegetables more of a staple. Then maybe I can be called the staple-er!
This wonderful man is my Daddy!
He started a tradition many years ago, of taking me on a date once a month. Can I just tell you how much I love this tradition. I love that my Daddy takes time out of his busy schedule to spend with me. I love that he shows an interest in the things I’m doing, and the things that are important to me. I love that I get him all to myself. He tells me I’m doing good stuff, and encourages me to be the best I can. When I tell him great stories about what my children are doing, he starts to tear up. What a tender heart. I can’t imagine not having him all to myself once a month. It means the world to me.
I love you Daddy! Thanks for being wonderful and taking me on dates!!
You’re the best!
