The London Bridge!!!

I saw the London Bridge!!!DSC06342On our way to Yuma last week I made a wrong turn on the route I planned and ended up passing Lake Havasu.

Then I saw signs saying “London Bridge”.

I was super excited! We were running a little behind on our schedule, because of my wrong turn so we decided we would stop on the way back home. Which I did. It has an interesting story. You can read about it here. Seeing the bridge was so fun because it’s probably the closest I’m ever going to get to England.

It is a beautiful bridge!

I love having an adventure like seeing things you weren’t planning on. Fun!

Sunday Best!

“The Creation, great as it is, is not an end in itself but a means to an end. We come to the earth for a brief period of time, endure our tests and trials, and prepare to move onward and upward to a glorious homecoming.  Our thoughts and deeds while here will surely be more purposeful if we understand God’s plan and are thankful for and obedient to His commandments.” -Russell M. Nelson

Hope your Sunday was the Best! Love, Joy

Beautiful Places!

We visited Gardner Village!

It is a fun place to visit. The setting to me is the funnest part.  DSC05447DSC05448DSC05452Old homes have been relocated on a lane and made into stores to shop in. There is also a stream with a covered bridge.DSC05454DSC05457DSC05459The main building used to be a mill so there is a water wheel attached to the building. There is a great restaurant and more shopping in the main building.DSC05461 DSC05462It is a beautiful place!

The Valley or The Mountain!

The view from the valley!

———————————————–

I went out to dinner with my daddy tonight.

He is a great guy!

I love to be with him, he makes me smile. As we’re driving along I looked up at the mountain. It’s my favorite mountain, the one I’ve looked at almost everyday of my life. I can’t imagine living anywhere except here, where I can look at the mountain.

I say to my dad, “Look at that beautiful mountain.” He says, “Yup, that’s why we moved to the valley.  The people on the mountain swear they have the most beautiful view. Those who live in the valley swear they have the most beautiful view…”

I just sit there smiling, because I know he’s going to say something funny, because he always does. He smiles back and says,

“And those who swear the most are right!”

Funny. The truth is, both views are the most beautiful

City Creek Center!

We rode the Frontrunner down to the new City Creek Center Mall.

It was Kathryn’s Birthday!

Emily, LaRae, Kathryn, Nancy, Melanie, Sydney, and Me!

It was packed with people! This was Saturday, and the Grand Opening was Thursday.

It is so beautiful!

I love how they made the Creek look so fun!

There were several fountains!

Fun ladies!

Lunch at The Garden restaurant on the top floor of the Joseph Smith Building.

Very yummy! It was such a fun day!

The City Creek Center is beautiful.

I think my favorite thing about this new mall, is that they will be closed on Sunday’s. Keeping the Sabbath day holy! Very nice.
