Totally “Fort Worth” It!

Mommy:

Hi, how are you doing? I’m doing pretty good. I haven’t gotten my contacts yet, but hopefully soon. Thank you so much for getting them for me! 🙂 🙂 I’m also glad you are enjoying your daycare. I’ve been thinking a lot about T. and G., and how fun it was to watch them. They are so stinkin cute. I still remember that time when I took that picture of G. with his shirt all messed up from his nap, and I told him to smile, and he said (with a really grumpy face and voice), “I am smiling.” 🙂 He is such a funny kid. I wonder if G. will still cuddle with me when I get home. Probably not. But it’s okay. There will be other kids to cuddle with in time. 🙂

So we are now getting to the end of another transfer (we will be getting our transfer calls two weeks from today). And this next transfer will be Sister Q’s last before she goes home. I think that I am going to be her last comp before she goes home. So I am now getting trunky…again. It’s really hard when you know that your companion gets to go home very soon, and do all the things that you don’t get to do, and to see their family, and all that fun stuff. But I’m just gonna push through. 🙂

I didn’t get to go to the Women’s conference. They had it at the stake center, but no one told us until like the day of (because they wanted to see if we would translate for the spanish women), and we already had appointments for that night that we couldn’t cancel. I wish we could have gone though.

Here are some fun/memorable things that happened this week:

On Tuesday, we were visiting our recent convert, L. We were talking with her and her aunt, and her aunt, who really used to not like us, but now loves us, was asking about how much time we have left on the mission. I told them I’m done with the mission next September, and she goes, “Pues llega en Septiembre? Vamos a visitarla como en Navidad para su boda.” Which means, “Well you arrive in September? We will go visit like at Christmas for your wedding.” Ha ha ha! She’s a funny lady. 🙂

We had two birthdays this week, one for a less active member Hno T., and one for L. We took cake for the hermano’s birthday, and we put like 50 balloons in L.’s room for her birthday. She is so awesome! 🙂 I’ll have to send you a picture of us sometime, but at the moment I don’t have one to give you.

Also, i forgot, we went to another birthday party (lots of birthdays!!) for the daughter of one of our solid investigators, S.. Her daughter was turning 5. It was a pretty fun party. They had a pinana, and a HUGE tres leches cake (it is cake that is made with 3xs the amount of milk it needs or something. It is really weird because it feels like soggy when you eat it, but you get used to it. It is really yummy). And also really cool spanish music. I don’t know why, but the other day when we were visiting a member, we were listening to some spanish music, and it made me get all nostalgic. I’m not really sure why, but it reminded me of home for some reason, and made me a little bit sad for a minute. But then I was okay. 🙂

Oh also, Mom, in one of the notes you sent me, you were asking about the temple. So we do get to go to the Dallas Temple, but only on like the last day we are on the mission, just before we go home (because it is not in our mission), or if we have a convert that got baptized a year before and is going through the temple for the first time, then we can go with them. But other than that no. I really miss going.

Daddy:

Man, people would ruin our awesome view of the sunset! 🙁 Jk Jk. It’s fine. I’m glad things are going well.

Emmysaurus Rex:

Little Seester!!! Did you get my letter? I hope so. I think I wrote it like 2 or 3 weeks ago. Hopefully you’ll be writing back to it soon. 😀 Anyway, did you already have Homecoming? They had Homecoming here this last weekend. But here at some of the schools they don’t get dances, because some kids were doing really naughty things on the dancefloor, so they banned they dances altogether. But anyways, did you go to yours? With someone I know? 🙂 Anyway, other than that I hope things are going well. 🙂 Have fun and do good things.

I gotta go now. I love you all very much, and sometimes I miss you but I try not to. 🙂

Tell Natasha I love her. :):):)

Adios!!

Love, Hermana Kelsey
